The need to create a new representative office of Continental AG, a German company, which by 2003 controlled about one fourth of total Russian import of tires (Continental, Gislaved, Viking and Barum), arose due to expansion of the company’s activity in Russia. Together with the Moscow Tire Plant, Continental has launched a large-scale investment project to set up production of 1.5 million tires in Moscow on German production equipment with further prospect to increase the production volume to 3.5 million tires by 2006.
Interior design of the company’s office located in Daimler Chrysler business center at Ordynka had to meet the far-reaching objectives of Continental. The increased Continent’s team includes employees and managers of marketing, sales and financial departments.
The company’s mission is to promote safety, comfort and driving pleasure. Safety, comfort and pleasure – any person cannot but feel these sensations when entering Continental’s interiors designed in line with the best European traditions of last decade.
The company’s corporate code of ethics states that “we are responsible for accepting nothing but the best things.” This exactly applies to the furniture used to fit the strictest requirements with regard to design, durability and ergonomics.
Continental global offices are decorated in one colour range based on the company’s brand colours – black, golden and gray. Black chairs, sofas and armchairs (Opus of Deko and Kusral of Kastel) in the Moscow representative office are emphasized with gold tops covered with maple veneer combined with gray aluminum legs of tables and storage units facades.
To create executive offices we have chosen collection which was named after Walter Gropius, one of the founders of German Bauhaus – Gropius of Abondinterni. Managers work places are formed on the basis of OXI Las. Stylistic unity of reception and meeting rooms is supported with maple worktops combined with aluminum legs and perforated front panel of reception stand Meta of Fantoni, as well as black sofas and armchairs Kusral of Kastel.
